My friend got me stuff from Daiso in Singapore. Yipee! The new gadgets and gizmos make my lunch more interesting now. Even hubby's officemate were amazed of the onigiri that I made and because of that, his lunch fare is becoming famous in the office. They often wonder how I make the effort in preparing the cute and somewhat unique lunches that he has.
This is my frustration here in Davao. No store sells bento stuff. The only stuff available here are the bento boxes. But the quality is not that good and the designs are not that nice too. Well, I just have to make do with what is available.
So when I found out that Daiso has a branch in Singapore, I asked my friend to buy me some stuff since we were going to see each other for our friend's wedding. Good thing was that there was a Daiso branch near her home=) She had fun looking at the stuff in the store that she did a little shopping of her own too!
Now I got a set of cookie cutters, Onigiri shapers, sushi helpers, rice ball shapers, a box of baran, fish-shaped soy sauce containers, heart and star shaped rice mould and a boy and girl rice mould.
I'm hoping that the Singapore trip that my dad is planning would push thru so that I can go and shop at Daiso and hoard all the bento items that I could find. hehehe=)
