Found dried Cannelloni pasta at Gourmet Deli. Mike has been asking me to make it at home after he tasted the Cannelloni they used to serve in Greenwich. We bought a box to try out. Luckily, there was still some left over spaghetti sauce in the fridge. I just added more ground beef to the sauce so that it would not be too liquid when filling the dried pasta.
Basically, I buttered the dish then put an ample amount of the sauce in the bottom so that the pasta wont stick. Then I filled the cannelloni with the sauce and placed them in the dish. As per instructions on the box, it should be one layer of the pasta only however, the dish was just small and knowing our voracious appetites, one layer of the pasta won't be enough, so I added another layer of the pasta. I covered the baking dish with foil and baked it at 325 degrees for around 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, I removed the foil, grated cheese over it and put some all-purpose cream and put it back in the oven and waited to the cheese to melt and be all bubbly. I should have added a layer of cheese in between the layers of the pasta but that escaped me. Nevertheless, the dish came out great. It was demolished during dinner=)
This is a keeper. I still have some pasta since I was not able to use the entire contents of the box so I have and excuse to bake some again=)
