Need your prayers

My father in law suffered a stroke the other day. He is currently in the ICU of a local hospital here. Fortunately, my sister in law was in the house when it happened. She immediately called our local 911, but unlike in the US that it arrives a few minutes after making the call, the unit that responded to her call arrived 30 minutes after. Another funny thing was that the rescue/ambulance unit only had the driver and 2 attending female nurses(?) so they were not able to carry my FIL from the second floor bathroom to the ambulance. They still had to ask help from the basketball players playing in the court in front of the house. Sigh..

Anyhoo, they rushed him to the nearest hospital but unfortunately, they had to transfer him as he could not be entertained. Apparently, there was a shooting incident not far from the hospital and the victims were brought there. There were media, photographers and reporters everywhere because the victim was a celebrity in his own right, an alledged leader of a robbery gang here in the city (another case of DDS? hehehe). He was transfered to the next hospital and there he was rushed to the ER.

He has been staying at the ICU since Tuesday evening. According to the doctor, he has a good chance of recovering since the blood clot found was small enough that medication can help lessen the size. They are just waiting for the swelling in his brain to subside and his blood pressure to stabilize so that they can discharge him from the ICU. My mom in law sent a text message that he may be transferred to a private room tonight. Thank God! Hopefully things go well so that he will be on his way to full recovery.

Thank you in advance for including us in your prayers.
