Health News Update

Apa was in a good spirits yesterday when Hubby and I came home from work. According to my mom, the Pediatrician diagnosed that he has amoebiasis after studying the results from his stool analysis. He was given medications for that.

However, the yaya informed me that a rash has developed at his back. This should be a concern as one of the symptoms of Dengue is that the patient will tend to develop rashes in his body. At first, we just dismissed it as it might be "bungang araw" or rashes due to the heat and sweat but this morning, the rash spread to his chest and tummy area=( So off to the Pediatrician he goes again. I just hope that it is not Dengue.

We are switching Pediatricians today. The first Pediatrician that we visited was my Pediatrician when I was a kid. After the first visit, I was not that confident and secure about her way in dealing with the patient and the diagnoses that she gave. Quite "old school" in my own opinion. My mom also shared the same insight after she brought Apa to her yesterday. Hopefully, the new Pediatrician, which is also the Pediatrician of my niece, will be much better. How I miss our Pedia in Manila. We would endure a trip to Cubao all the way from Mandaluyong just for our monthly pedia visits. She has a way of dealing with her patients and the parents that made us completely at ease with her.

I'm hoping that after today's check-up, we would have a correct diagnosis of Apa's ailment. Please include my little boy in your prayers. =)
