bridal shower....

my officemates and I watched "Bridal Shower" yesterday. The entire movie was like an over-extended pinoy version of one episode of SATC. It had its funny moments but the whole movie was "mababaw" as it can get. The director and the writer could have delved more into the issues of martyrdom of girls and the desperation to get hitched. The story of each character was not woven well enough to make a solid and well sritten story. I am not here to tear the movie into teeny-weeny pieces. Take the movie as it is and you'll find yourself laughing at the adventures and misadventures of the 3 ladies and their men.

Had dinner last night at Chili's in GB1. Their smoking section really sucks. The place was an enclosed one, as dictated by the Makati City Council, who's trying to imitate the smoking ban introduced by Rodrigo Duterte, Davao City's Mayor. Sure, it adhered to the standards set buy the council but the whole place was so cramped and the airconditioning sucked and the their ionizer was too small to convert the smoke that was produced by the smokers in the room. It was warm and the smell of cigarette smoke stuck into my clothes and hair. ARGH!!!! I swear, with the amount of smoke I inhaled last night, I'd be dead in 10 years due to second-hand smoking. Gosh. I miss my gimiks in Davao. At least there, the designated areas for smoking make sure that we, the non-smokers do not inhale second-hand smoke...

I was supposed to work today but things came up so here I am, blogging away. It sucks 'coz I woke up late, so I rushed here to the office only to find out that we won't be doing our work. I haven't eaten breakfast yet and I getting hungrier by the minute. gotta look for something to eat....
