UPDATES....

my weekend was a hectic one. my social calendar was filled to the brim. had to attend a children's party, a thank-god-i-passed-the-med-boards-now-i-can-charge-exuberant-fees party and a birthdya/mini-reunion party. thank god that the venues of each party were in the makati and within the vicinity of each other.

first party was a children's party. of course, ever present was the spaghetti and the birthday cake. enter the chicken mascot dancing to entertain the kids. how ironic. it felt weird seeing the chicken entertaining the kids while the adults were busy eating away her relatives. i bet she was looking at us like we were all murderers. the theme of the party was sun-shiny yellow. the place was brightly lit that a friend suddenly complained he was suffering from headache. buti nalang at dala ko ang aking mini-medicine cabinet. =)

afer the children's party, we rushed to banana leaf curry house to attend the mini-reunion/celebration party of mike's highschool friends. they were so nice to wait up for us. the little bundle of joy of gepoy and his wife was there=) we stayed for a while because everyone had a plan b to go to and the baby was already sleepy.

last stop for the night was at grilla where my 4 of my batchmates, namely gec-gec, jonex, mark s and ton g, were celebrating their birthday. of course, being a cersa 2000 party, the place was full of booze and food. also, a lot of pictures were taken.

sunday was a windang day. experimented on this ready to cook sauce that i saw in the grocery. didnt live up to my expectation. it was lacking that zest or kick that i was looking for. no plans had been made for the day. an idea popped up and my boyfriend suggested that we go on a road trip to SM FAIRVIEW. yes, we hopped on the first bus that we saw and we were on our way. going there was not easy on my butt. it took 2 hours from makati to fairview. lech! i felt that my butt had grown roots from that 2 hours of sitting and staring at the urbanscape. it made me realize how convenient it was for me to be living in makati which is just a 15 minute ride to my office. going back to makati was better. aside from lesser traffic, the bus driver drove like he was the king of the road. if only our country had speeding regulations. until that time comes, i guess we would just have to get used to these drivers and get out of their way.

too bad, the weekend had come to an end. its another work week my friends.
