Typhoon Ondoy

The weekend was one hell of a weekend. Everyone in Manila was caught by surprise by Typhoon Ondoy. They thought that it was just one of those typhoons that pass thru our country. But no! It was meant to be something else. Who would have thought that Ondoy would be stronger than Katrina in terms of the amount of rainfall? Imagine, a months' worth of rain all poured down in a matter of hours? I guess, this is a warning and a reminder to us that whatever we take away from Mother Earth, she takes back...

This was where we used to live when we were still in Manila. It is really a flood-prone area but never this high!

Let's also pray that we be spared from the next 2 typhoons that are brewing in the Pacific.
