To get or not to get....

My hubby and I have been planning to sign-up for an internet account. Initial plan was to sign-up for the data-only account that costs P995/month since we already have a phone line in the house. But then, Globe has this Sulit Computer Bundle promo wherein you have to pay P1495 a month and with the plan comes an Asus eePC, phone line and 385Kbps internet connection. For extra P500, you get a laptop so it seems like a good deal.

I checked several reviews about the Asus eePC and most of the reviews on it are good. It's not a desktop or a super powerful laptop so expectations on it should not be so high. But most of the people who bought it have good words for it. If you are just like me who just use the laptop to connect to the internet and chat, then it serves it purpose according to the reviews. Hubby and I have yet to sit down and discuss this and see if we will be able to finance this whim of mine.
