I had my Oral Glucose Stress Test last Friday. They made me drink this sweet flat soda (more like Royal Tru Orange Soda na bitin ang tamis). They made me finish a bottle of it, around 300 ml in 5 mins. After an hour, they took a sample of my blood and told me that the results will be forwarded to my OB the next day.

We went to see my OB-Gyne the next day for my routine check-up and to discuss the results of the tests I did (Ultrasound, OGST and urinalysis). Bad news. The OGST results came back reflecting that I had high sugar levels in my blood. Normal range would be 100 but mine was 136, which was quite high. The OB was concerned because I also had Ketones in my urine (+2), and that the weight of my baby was high for his gestational age. So, to sum it all up, I am a candidate for having Gestational Diabetes. She asked me to take another exam, Oral Glucose Tolerance Test. The same with OGST, I had to drink the same flat orange sode but this time, it has higher concentration of sugar. Also, I had to fast at least 10 hours prior to taking the test. I did not eat or drink anything(even water!) for 10 hours starting Saturday evening. We went back to Makati Med early Sunday to take the test. 3 samples of my blood were extracted in a span of 3 hours. I was so hungry and thirsty already. I was starting to get immuned to the needle piercing my skin. Good thing, no bruises for me. The results should be out by now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Hopefully my sugar level would not be that high. =(

I ordered our diaper bag from Rea of Just Couture last Friday. I ordered the Daphe bag. It should be delivered to me anytime today. I'm so excited! I might get another one, if the budget permits! Sshh... don't tell hubby about it... =)

We will be watching Superman at the IMAX theater this Thursday courtesy of Microsoft. Hehehe... Can't wait to see an 8-story high Clark Kent... hehehehe...
