boracay....
what a trip that was. The roro team travelled for 17 hours to be able to get to this island paradise. I can say that it was worth it. The trip should have taken only 15 hours but we were stuck in the port of Roxas. Apparently, GMA was scheduled to visit that place on that date to campaign and remind the people that it was her administration that made it possible for us to travel to Boracay in less than a thousand bucks. It was so frustrating because she did ruin our schedules. But in the end, the possibility of meeting the president of the island, won over our frustration. We even had our picture taken with her. I'll find a way to post it here....
Arriving in Bora, we immediately soaked up what remained of the the afternoon sun. Then it was party, party, party, beach beach, beach. We tried all the things that my friend told me I should do - jonah's fruit shakes, illusion shaker and jamjar at cocomangas, pizza margherita and peperroni at Hey Jude, tons of seafood, and talipapa shopping. I even saw the former lifeline (air and water) of my friend. Of all the people to see.... howell.... =) Spending valentine's day in Bora is not a bad idea after all. I'm thinking of going back there next year... =)
It was a really short stay and how I wish we could have extended it. But our budgets do not permit it so I have no choice but to leave. When the budget and the schedule permits it, I'll definitely go back and soak up the sun again.
