baking
tried to bake a chocolate cake last night. It tastes good but my endeavor was a "palpak." I think I overmixed the batter which resulted in a "heavy" cake. It became dense and some parts of it were underbaked. Howell, I now believe that baking is an exact science. We should have had experiments on this during our chemistry classes.
The first cake that I baked was a success. Well, the recipe that I used was a much simplier that the one I followed last night. It didn't require me to be cautious of how long I was mixing everything. I thought I was ready to move on to a more challenging recipe. But alas! my happy bubble burst! It turns out that I have to be more cautious of everything that I do. From the sifting of the dry ingredients to the creaming of the butter and sugar and the addition of the ingredients, everything has to be precise and everything has to be timed. Well, at least now, I learned my lesson.
But one "palpak" will not hinder me from baking again. I'll try the same recipe hoping that the results would be different.
I'll let my friends taste my creation if i have perfected it already. as of now, my poor boyfriend will be forced to appreciate my "experiments."
